Tumbling through the Neon Wasteland

The Grand Canyon
My girlfriend and I have never been to the Grand Canyon, and as someone who lives in Las Vegas, that simple fact always seems strange to people given the Canyon’s proximity. For Valentine’s Day, however, it seems to offer the whole package: Sweeping vistas, good photo opportunities, a bit of physical exertion, and the ability to inject some romance into any part of the experience. Finally, it sounds like a nice and comfortably “normal” option after looking at the various opportunities that present themselves in Vegas (another night at a club, anyone? yawn…). I’m ready for a picnic and some good old-fashioned hiking.
